What is Yin Yoga?
There is no singular definition of yoga, but the translation of the Sanskrit word means “union”. I like to think of yoga as the union of breath to movement.
I am certified in Yin Yoga which is a slower practice of poses (asanas) that are held for three to five minutes. This long hold allows your body to sink into the pose, stretching the fascia layer and encouraging the muscles to elongate.
How does Yoga help me rise?
Yoga is a gentle way to exercise your body and refocus your mind. It is useful to add mantras (positive affirmation statements) during practice to create a moving meditation. I customize a yoga sequence for you based upon the areas and ways you want to rise. We record the sequence as we perform it the first time together on Zoom so that you can revisit it at any time.
